The Government of Ukraine plans to unload prisons in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, said the Minister of Justice of the country Denis Malyuska, reported on May 14 TV channel Gromadske. He said that the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine had prepared two bills, according to one of which people who had not committed serious crimes would be released. These are persons who have relatives of old age, these are former ATO participants who have served more than a third of the sentence, the Minister said. The second bill allows courts to use suspended punishment more frequently. The draft laws should be considered and supported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. According to the news agency, earlier Malyuska said that artificial intelligence can be used to make procedural decisions in Ukraine, which will analyze data from the register of prisoners.
