Georgia denied myth of nicotine and coronavirus
The claim that nicotine allegedly helps protect against coronavirus is a myth and untrue. This was announced on May 31 by the head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze at an online conference dedicated to the fight against smoking. Tobacco, on the contrary, exacerbates the infection. These people become more vulnerable, they more easily develop various complications, including, unfortunately, fatal, Gamkrelidze said. He also called it immoral that tobacco companies profit from their products causing addiction and destroying people's health. Recall, May 31 marks World Day without tobacco. That date was set by a UN decision in 1988 to remind you of the dangers of smoking.
