More than 20 athletes in Riga will receive prizes for high achievements


The provisional administration of the Riga Duma for high achievements and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle decided to encourage 24 athletes with cash payments. This was announced on June 26 by the agency LETA. According to journalists, among others, monetary bonuses will go to Paralympians Aigar Apinis and Maris Grenins, beach volleyball players Edgar Tochs and Martins Plavins. In total, the provisional administration of the Riga Duma decided to encourage athletes in the amount of 41,000 euros. The place and time of the ceremony, representatives of the municipality will report separately.
