Britain is preparing personal sanctions against Russian citizens
The British authorities have created a list of Russian citizens who fall under individual sanctions in the Magnitsky case. It is reported by the Financial Times with reference to the British Foreign Ministry. It is noted that while the British Foreign Ministry refused to publish the names of citizens who fell under restrictive measures. The list will include those who, according to London, were involved in the death of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. In total, as the FT clarifies, several dozen people will be affected by the restrictions. According to the news agency, Sergey Magnitsky worked in a large investment fund Hermitage Capital Management and was detained on suspicion of tax fraud. He died in the Sailor Silence pre-trial detention center in November 2009. The name of the auditor in the United States was called the law introducing personal sanctions against persons responsible for violating human rights and the rule of law in Russia.
