EU delegation arrives in Crimea
A delegation of European politicians and experts arrived in Crimea on a working visit. This was announced today, June 30, by the speaker of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov. He said that the delegation consisted of nine people. Five of its members are deputies of the European Parliament from France. The delegation is headed by MP member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, President of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association Thierry Mariani. In addition to the EP deputies, the delegation also included: Berlin MP Gunnar Lindemann, vice-chairman of the Bulgarian Revival Alternative political party Lubomir Ganchev, former member of the Bulgarian Central Election Commission Martin Raichev Raikov and Hungarian journalist Eric Almqvist. The program of the visit includes a visit to Yalta and Simferopol. EU representatives will visit polling stations and evaluate the voting process on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The visit will last until July 2.
