US companies sent charity aid to Uzbekistan
The charity organization Project Hope from the United States sent charity assistance in the amount of $600 thousand to Uzbekistan, the Dunyo agency reports citing the embassy of the republic in the United States. Personal protective equipment was delivered to Uzbekistan by a special flight of the airline Uzbekistan Airways. The cargo also includes 20 thousand tests for coronavirus and medical equipment. In addition, in early July 2020, it is planned to deliver two containers of medical drugs worth $800 thousand from Salt Lake City. This delivery is financed by Globus Relief. According to the news agency, the World Bank will provide Uzbekistan with a loan of $95 million. Funds are planned to be used to strengthen the health system and to combat coronavirus.
