In Kyrgyzstan, 420 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected per day, the press service of the headquarters for the fight against COVID-19 reported on August 2. During the entire period of the epidemic, 36,719 infections were recorded in the republic. The daily statistics include 106 infections (16,691 for the entire period), which were confirmed by laboratory studies (disease code U07.1 according to the international classification of diseases). Also included in the statistics are cases assigned to a clinical or epidemiological diagnosis COVID-19 without final laboratory confirmation or in its absence (disease code U07.2). Such per day revealed 314 cases (a total of 20,028 cases). During the day, 848 people recovered from COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan (a total of 27,274 people or 72.4% of the number of infected), 12 people died (a total of 1,409 people or 3.8% of those infected). It is also specified that nineteen cases of coronavirus infection were recorded among medical workers (a total of 2,809 cases). Five medical workers recovered from COVID-19 per day and were discharged from medical institutions (1812 medical workers were discharged from hospitals during the entire period of the epidemic). Another 41 medical workers on the fact of recovery were discharged from home self-isolation.
